Hello and thank you for visiting our website.
First of all I would like to say a few words about us and our kennel. We bought our first chow-chow in 1993. And Bonya (Bonnie Smoothland) appeared to be a smooth i.e. short-coated chow-chow.
Having collided with absence of the information about smooth chows, with their
small quantity in our country, we have decided that it’s necessary "to struggle" somehow
with it. In fact these plush dogs have the right to be known and loved as well
as their fluffy brothers!
I think that smooth-coated chows undeservedly stay in "shadow" of their fluffy
colleagues. In fact good smooth chow causes not less surprise and admiration
of people than fluffy one. Unfortunately we have too small amount of them here
in Russia and majority of people who want to have a chow-chow even don’t know
about this type of breed.
In 1999 we have registered the kennel "Love Story" for breeding and popularization
of smooths in Russia. Certainly in conditions of a city apartment our opportunities
are rather limited but nevertheless we try to do our best to make people love
smooth chow-chows and know about them as much as possible.
I hope you will find something interesting about these remarkable dogs on this site.
Concerning mountains… Dogs are not our only hobby. We with my husband are big admirers of mountain skis and tourism. Therefore the images of mountains were used in design of this website.

12.12.2020 Joy and I participated in
the annual National Specialty Chow Chow Show of Winner National
Club -2020 rank, 'Baltic
Chow Fest', judge O. Yanchev.
Our results:
Drevniy Mif Real Leader for Lav Stori (Joy) - 2nd place in the
Champion class, 1st place in the 'Best smooth' competition!
According to the set of certificates, Joy closed the title of
'National Club Champion'!
Thanks to the expert for the high marks of Joy!
Daughter Joy - Love Story Irma (owner L. Shaposhnik) was also
pleased. Despite the poor handling, the expert appreciated Irma
at it's true worth: she took 1st place in the 'intermediate
class', became 'Best Bitch'-2, and in the competition for 'Best smooth' was in 2nd place, losing first place to her father!

and I took part in the Specialty Show, in St. Petersburg.

Our results: 3rd place in
the Champions class, 3rd place
in the Best Smooth competition.
The exhibition was also attended by the daughters of Joy
Love Story Irma (Drevniy Mif Real Leader for Love Story - Êlotho Brizard Maria).
Irmochka first entered the ring, and was the smallest (by age)
participant.
Her results: 1st place in the baby class,
1st place in the Best Smooth contest.
Congratulations to her mistress Lyudmila Shaposhnik on Irma's
first successes!
